ITV's recent festive charity drive Text Santa raised a final total of over £4million for good causes, it has been revealed.
It was launched in a TV special on 11th December by Christine Bleakley and Philip Schofield, before Ant and Dec and Holly Willoughby fronted a second show on Christmas Eve, at which point over £3.4million had been donated.
However, speaking on yesterday's edition of This Morning, Holly revealed that the total amount won by the campaign is £4,120,000.
"Well done and thank you to all of you!. It was our first year of Text Santa and it's been a real treat to be a part of it," she praised.
Philip added: "You've got to explain something brand new, you've got to get the message across about what we're doing and the charities involved. This is a fantastic result – first time and over four million quid. Thank you so much!"
The money will be split between the nine 'Text Santa charities', which include Samaritans, Help The Hospicies and Yorkhill Children's Foundation.
